Pressed Pastry Company is a brand developed for this particular project, which consists of a brand guide, package design, and short advertisement for their key product. The above image is the primary "hero image" to be used in their packaging and promotional material. The above image is a render produced in Blender 3D. In including this as a key portion of the brand, I aim to prove the value of 3D work as part of more traditional design workflows, as an image like this would be much more challenging to produce via traditional methods. 
My objective with this project was to produce a brand that felt modern and lighthearted, while maintaining the sense that the products provided would be of high quality. It was this "professional-yet-playful" attitude that let to the art direction for the advertisement itself, which is intended to be a tongue-and-cheek play on the ultra-refined style of today's technology ads. 
The brand itself aimed to encapsulate a sense that a refined, quality product experience does not have to be divorced from humor or the absurd and surreal. The two senses can coexist, and even can be employed to strengthen one another. 
The advertisement draws significant inspiration from the likes of Apple, Samsung, and other device manufacturers, that often enjoy using these high-contrast, bold settings in order to show off how sleek their products are. 
All deliverables went through multiple rounds of critique with fellow designers in order to best reflect a true brand development process. The final products of this process are intended to be usable in a real commercial setting and aim to provide a sense that this brand could exist, though it does not at present.
